DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

No, unfortunately we do not. Insurance companies do not currently reimburse for the time needed for an Integrative/Functional evaluation. Depending on your health insurance plan, particularly with PPOs, you may be able to apply some of the appointment charges towards your deductible. Once your deductible is met you may be partly reimbursed. Superbills are provided upon request for the appointment fee only once your bill is paid.

DO YOU TAKE MEDICARE?

Dr. Goldberg has opted out of Medicare as a provider, but is a Medicare ordering and prescribing physician. This means that she is permitted to order labs, imaging and prescriptions for Medicare beneficiaries. The appointment charges, however, are not reimbursable if you have Medicare/superbills are not provided if you have Medicare unless it is for a secondary (non-Medicare) insurance plan.

IS THIS A CONCIERGE MEDICAL PRACTICE/IS DR. GOLDBERG A CONCIERGE PHYSICIAN?

This is not a concierge practice. There is no annual fee or membership fee charged. Patients are charged based on physician time spent on your case. We do not have after hours, weekend or vacation coverage. There are, however, some “concierge like” features to this practice:

  • No waiting in the office. Appointments are spaced out such that the start time of your appointment is the time when you will be seen by the doctor.
  • Easy access to Dr. Goldberg during the week.
  • This practice offers personalized wellness and prevention focused medical care from a seasoned Internal Medicine Physician experienced in Integrative, Environmental and Functional Medicine.
  • Advanced testing is routinely used as part of the approach. Some of the testing, such as advanced lipid panels, inflammatory markers and insulin resistance/diabetes risk screening panels is often covered by most commercial insurance carriers and Medicare.
  • Initial visits are between 75-90 minutes and a comprehensive history and physical is performed.
