What To Expect
Prior to the visit you will complete a detailed questionnaire about your medical history, symptoms and lifestyle. This allows us to maximize the time we spend together, as I will already have a lot of information about you and your health challenges before we meet. For patients with complex medical histories I review all records that you submit, as I am often asked for second opinions.
During the visit, I take a comprehensive medical history that includes diet, lifestyle and environmental exposures. aiming to identify the root causes of your health challenges. I organize the information on a timeline, with the goal identifying factors that may be interfering with healing. I then perform a detailed physical examination. For telehealth visits, I am not able to examine you, but I make every effort to review records documenting vital signs and an exam by your local physician. Together we will then discuss the options for lab testing and decide on a plan for initial lab work.
You will leave the initial appointment with strategies for improving your diet and lifestyle, minimizing toxic exposures, and a preliminary supplement plan that will be modified at the first follow up visit. The first follow up is generally scheduled from two to six weeks after the initial visit and typically takes 45-60 minutes, depending on the number of tests we have to review and the complexity of your case.
