I’m Dr. Sharon Goldberg, a board-certified Internal Medicine doctor practicing Integrative and Functional Medicine in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Thank you for checking out my blog.

These articles reflect the pragmatic and proactive way I approach patient care. This approach evolved over my 20+ years in medical practice, including 10+ years as medical educator at several East Coast teaching hospitals. Simply put, I do comprehensive patient evaluations that focus on finding treatable issues. This is how I do it:

1) First, I take the time to get to know people really well – their history, labs, imaging and story of how their health decline unfolded.

2) Second, I make sure all the needed labs and/or imaging studies have been done starting with insurance based “conventional” ones.

3) Then, I order additional specialty testing, if and when indicated, to look for treatable issues or modifiable lifestyle factors. These factors often include diet, nutrition, environment, and other lifestyle factors that interfere with that person’s innate drive to heal. The modifiable factors are then addressed with a personalized treatment plan.

In addition to my office practice, I also see coaching clients nationwide for EHS, also known as Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity. I am actively involved in the growing field of Clinical Electromagnetics as an educator, speaker, and peer reviewer. Clinical Electromagnetics studies the invisible electromagnetic environment as a factor in health and disease and is cutting edge lifestyle medicine for the digital age.

I am thrilled to have you here. If you have feedback, questions, or want to suggest a topic, please contact the office.

In Health,

Sharon Goldberg, MD
